Be The Change

This is a short summary of a powerful, inspirational video which documents the moving transformation of a group of teenagers as they follow Challenge Day’sBe the Change” program.

The Be the Change movement inspires people to notice what’s happening in the world around them, to choose actions that create positive change, and to act as a living example of the power of contribution and compassion.

Step 1Notice
Wake up. Keep your eyes open and notice what’s happening around you.

Step 2Choose
Once you decide to get involved in any situation, think through your list of options and alternatives for dealing with the situation. Take your time and choose the course of action you believe will best serve everyone involved.

Step 3Act
Once you have made a decision about what you feel would be the best way to help, take action! Now is your time to "Be the Change!"

An Act of Change is:
* A conscious intervention or a contribution performed by a person with the goal of creating a positive change in the world.
* An intentional action performed to lovingly interrupt hurtful or destructive behaviour and support the choice of a compassionate alternative.
* Anything you do for yourself, another person or the world around you that has a positive impact; an intentional act of love, kindness or service.

» Imagine families where every member is consciously looking for ways to contribute.

» Imagine schools where every student is given time to share and celebrate their positive acts of change.

» Imagine corporations where contribution and service are the basis of the company culture.

» Imagine a world where people of every country join hands and commit to generating peace on the planet.

» Imagine our media and daily news no longer dominated by violence, fear, and destruction, instead focusing on the celebration and recognition of the positive difference people are making in the world.

What if people everywhere were inspired to share food, shelter, and resources?
What if our human family could unite as one?
